I have to say that I liked it when I could get the American Netflix better, they have more updated shows, and i think of leaving these guys a lot, but i don’t. It is super addictive, and i like millions of others spend WAY too much of my time binge watching shows. It has a very cleaver way of tracking your shows, categorizing them to make it easy to find new shows like the ones you like, so that deciding what to watch is not a painful couple hour event like it used to be when we had video stores we used to go to to rent a movie for the night! Seems like a million years ago, like we have had music and movie streaming for my whole life, but it really has only been a few years.
They make money from our subscriptions, from stocks, and since covid has made a lot more money from everyone being stuck at home. It also is trying to hold onto its market share by making original netflix content, since it used to lease its videos from other media outlets that are now getting into the market.
