Yes, I get the most traction on Facebook as a business owner, and I have the largest network of friends, acquaintances, and customers on this mega database.
I used to like it alot more before videos, they just made the feed like a never ending advertisement and over stimulation. Used to be sort of like a yearbook, like they originally wanted it, and it was fun catching up with people, seeing their kids grow etc… now it feels yucky like they just peddle peoples businesses for money.
They make 85% of their money from paid advertising, that they forced upon us by taking away organic growth and replacing the algorithm with paid adds and boosted posts. I don’t see half my friends anymore, unless there is mega big conversations on them, then they deemed worthy of showing in my feed.
Facebook is another giant, it has 2.23 billion active users, with about 400 new people signing up every minute apparently! Its currently worth $450 billion with stock prices trading in the $155 range.
With the ability to rake in money from multiple sources, Facebook has established a firm foothold on Wall Street as a financial giant, and branching out in new directions should add to its bottom line.
Facebook also makes money buying up smaller companies, and adding to their already scary sized database. Like what’s app and Instagram.
